Setbacks

Front Yard setbacks for homes are 50 feet from the center of the road.
Side Yard setbacks are 10 feet from the property line.
Rear Yard setbacks are 20 feet from the property line.

Garages are the same as above except for the back line; back line should be wide enough for maintenance to be performed on the building.
Corner Lot setbacks are 50 feet from the center of each road.

Fees

Cost for permit is .16 cents X the square footage of your structure plus $40.00
Road cut inspection fee: $75.00
Occupancy permit fee: $20.00

Culvert permit fee: $150.00 if you provide the pipe and the Township installs the culvert up to 20 feet; $100.00 more for each additional portion up to 20 feet.

Culvert permit fee is $50.00 if Township just inspects the completed job.

North Shenango Township adopted the State Mandated Code in April of 2004. All residential projects must have plans submitted and approved before a permit can be issued. Permit fee depends on your project. The cost will be provided after the plan review.

Electrical permit fee depends on your project.

Please Note

If you are hiring a Contractor they must have proof of Workman's Compensation on file with the Building Department. You will need to provide the name of your Contractor when you apply for your permit.

All foundations must be inspected before concrete is poured.
